The niece of fashion designer Ralph Lauren was charge Tuesday on charges of being seriously drunk, intimidating and vocally abusive on a New York-bound plane, forcing it to land in Ireland.
Jewelry designer Jenny Lauren was under arrest on Monday after a Delta flight from Barcelona, Spain, made an unprepared two-hour stop at Shannon, the main airport in western Ireland, to get rid of her from the plane.
Lauren, 41, swore an oath on a Bible, then definite her name, American people and passport information. She obtainable no plea to three charges: making threats and rude comments, exhibiting drunkenness severe sufficient to pose a risk to herself and others, and behave in an obnoxious and nasty fashion.
The judge, Patrick Durcan, free her on financial guarantee of 2,500 euros ($3,400). She was prearranged to hang about at a hotel in the town of Shannon, statement to its police station, and surrender her ID.
