The United States embassy declared in a statement ; the Top American official investigation war crimes has recorded eye-witness accounts of alleged serious “abuses” and infringement of International Human Rights Law by Sri Lankan army during the final stages of its war with Tamil Tigers.


According to news; The United States Envoy Stephen J Rapp negotiate by his week-long visit during which tweets from the US mission took pictures of alleged sites in the north where people were killed allegedly due to Lankan military shelling in 2009 war against the LTTE.


The Sri Lankan military denied United States accusations about photo’s during Rapp’s visit which came ahead of the March sessions of United Nation Human Rights Council. The United States told Sri Lanka that it could introduce a third successive resolution over rights accountability and reconciliation with the Tamil minority at the Council.
