Anti Drone campaigner (Karim Khan), was unchained by his captors late Thursday. He said that, he was interrogated and tortured.


On 5 Feb, Kareem Khan was picked up In Rawalpindi from his residence by some 20 men, the armed dropped his off near Tarnol (Islamabad) on night of Thursday, just some days before he was programmed to go away for a two-week visit to Europe to give evidence before EU parliamentarians about the US-sponsored drone attacks.


He told to the reporters, I had moved my family to Islamabad from North Waziristan last month so that they could be safe but we are not safe here.


He also said to the reporters, some armed men in police clothes and plain civil uniform came to my house after midnight and took me with them. They tortured me. They punched me on the head beat me with a stick.


According to his lawyer, He was questioned about names and people in Waziristan. He was questioned about his drone work and was told not to speak to media; otherwise they will come back for them.


In December 2009, Karim’s brother and Son were killed in a drone attack at North Waziristan.
