Ten militants have been arrested who were involved in the 2012 attack on 17-year-old Malala Yousafzai in Mingora town, Swat District, situated in Pakistan’s northwestern, province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistani military reported.


She garnered praise following the Taliban militants shot her to publicly recommend gender equality and education for women.


The Pakistani military’s spokesman, Gen. Asim Saleem Bajwa has confirmed this news that army has taken in custody those Taliban fighters who shot Malala, these militants assaulted on young Pakistani girl on orders by Mullah Fazlullah, who is the head of Pakistani Taliban.


Gen. Bajwa stated, “The entire gang involved in the murder attempt… has been busted.” He added that these militants were belonged to Tehrik-e-Taliban.


The Pakistani army’s ongoing operation (Zarb-e-Azab) against the Taliban who has stronghold in a tribal enclave of North Waziristan, troops killing them and destroying their hideouts. The military has been killed more than 900 fighters until now.
