Severe earthquake magnitude 6.2 on Richter scale has hit the central Indonesia, Maluku chain Island coast nearby Manado- Sulawesi on Wednesday morning, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The jolts of this severe quake were felt in Manado and Gorontalo in northern Sulawesi’s major cities, locals informed about trembles and jolts.
The quake came out nearly at 2:46 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) on Wednesday at a distance downward of 22.5 kilometers (13 miles), shakes were felt nearly 122 kilometers Southeast Mondayang, a town in northern Sulawesi.
The national disaster agency spokesman informed to media, “people in Manado felt the quake and ran from their homes.”
