The people of Syria in province Hama’s Mhardeh, town, who all are setting up to protect themselves against the Al-Qaeda belonging Syrian militant organization Al-Nusra Front (ANF), as they have arrived at the outer edges of town and started their advancing.


Specially, the residents of Christian town would be the target of militants as Iraq-Syria Islamic State targeted Christian civilians in Iraq like in Mosul and also in Maaloula town by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).


Mhardeh town’s locals and George Rahhal, who is a retired civil servent, reported to media, “The situation in the town has been tense since around the beginning of August, when ANF gunmen moved in very close to the town’s limits.”


Another native, Josef said, “There is shelling night and day. We have no electricity. There is only one road out and it is dangerous to use it now.”


The locals of Maaloula town shared their problems to media reporters, the supply of electricity has been disconnected and hence those goods which can be stored had unavailable in shops and people living on vegetables.
