Bollywood sexiest actress Priyanka Chopra, who first time appears in a sportswoman role in biopic movie ‘Mary Kom’, has earned more than Rs.30 Crore in first week and it is hoping the film will exceed over 80 Crore in opening weekend.
The co-producer of this Indian-biographical-sports venture Sanjay Leela Bhansali was released on Teachers’ Day 5 September, had assembled Rs.8.02 crore on Friday, Rs.9.25 crore on Saturday, Rs.11.05 crore on Sunday, total Rs.28.32 crore in a weekend.
The National Film Award for Best Actress winner star wrote on Twitter, Monday, “What a weekend for #MaryKom. Thank you all. I truly hope that the story of our true champ @MangteC has a wonderful run at the box office (sic).”
The special thing about this movie is that it was a first directorial project of Omung Kumar who has entered in Hindi film industry with debut ‘Mary Kom’ which released on nearly 1,800 screens in India.
