Baghdad / Washington: United States Military aircraft attacked on Iraq-Syria militants organization’s hideouts with heavy bombs in Northern Iraq close to country’s biggest dam, in the result, 25 people killed.
U.S. Department of Defense press secretary John Kirby said in a statement, we have done these attacks to protect Haditha dam because Islamic states group who were trying to attack on dam and our aim is to kick out from Iraq. It was a first air strike in this region, it killed 25 ISIS fighters and fighters have run away from Brona town.
Sheikh Ahmed Abu Risha, who is a Sunni leader of Anbar Salvation Council in Al-Anbar province, has confirmed the American military’s air strikes.
Abu Risha stated to media reporters, “They (the air strikes) were very accurate. There was no collateral damage … If Islamic State had gained control of the dam, many areas of Iraq would have been seriously threatened, even (the capital) Baghdad.”
