A Colorado teen who may have been nurturing a grudge against a high school teacher since September planned to harm that teacher and inflict many other casualties when he enter his school and shot a student at point-blank range before killing himself, authorities said.
Karl Pierson 18 year old, he fired 6 shots from pump-action and he walked into Arapahoe High School on Friday the moment he killed himself near the library school security officer very close in on him, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said.
Pierson’s violence took just 80 seconds but reopened scars in a public traumatized by mass firings at Columbine High School in 1999, an Aurora movie complex in 2012 and in Newtown, Conn., a year ago Saturday.
“His evil intent was to harm multiple individuals,” Robinson said Saturday.
Arapahoe senior Claire Davis age 17, who were sitting with a close friend when Pierson come in library he shot in the head. She was hospitalized in dangerous condition. Schoolchildren and people held a candlelight vigil for Davis Saturday night at a park near the school.
