How To Access Google Maps On iPhone

Apple’s new iPhone is much more than a phone or a media player.One defining characteristic of the iPhone apart is its integration with Google Maps. Use your iPhone, you can access Google Maps to get directions, find the location of someone you know or even see a picture of a particular place. Follow these steps to use the Google Maps iPhone application.

Open the application. To open the Google Maps iPhone application simply touch the “Maps” icon in the main menu. This opens the Maps application with the search field at the top of the screen and a map given below.

Search the map. To search for a specific use the search field to set up your keyboard destination. Enter the address or location you are looking for with as much specificity as possible and water “Search” tap.

Zoom in and out. To make a piece of card field most is double tap on the map or pinch to zoom to zoom or pinch the card again or tap the map with two fingers instead of one.

Use the satellite view. At any time, you can use the satellite view instead of the view cards by simply typing “Satellite”. This option gives you a satellite image of the place you want to see. Use the zoom in and zoom features in the same way you did on the map and scroll by pressing the different quadrants of the image to refocus it.

Get directions. To get there press the black icon that has a white arrow up and down. Enter your departure and arrival point in the respective fields. To use a location of your favorites press the icon of an open (the Bookmark icon) book for each field to select the location. To view directions one step at a time tap “Start” and then use the arrows to scroll through the directions. To see all the directions at once type “List” and full show directions.
