Pakistan: Opposition Parties in National Assembly agreed on talks process with Taliban

ISLAMABAD: Leaders of opposition parties in the National Assembly (NA) agreed upon holding of the talks process with the Taliban, however, They could not agree on the matter of halting NATO supply.

Parliamentary leaders of Pakistan Awami Muslim League (AML), Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) stressed upon the need of stopping NATO supply lines to Afghanistan, however, they failed to make an conformity in bringing a declaration over the issue.

After the Killing of Tehreek-e-Taliban leader Baithullah Mehsud, opposition parties are keen to resolve this issue to avoid any terrorist activity from TTP. Pakistani government also said on Monday that peace process will not stop after the killing the leader of TTP.
