Samsung Electronics, the world‘s largest manufacturer of Smartphones, plans to launch in October in South Korea a new smartphone with curved screen , which so far have not revealed further details or images displayed.
The new portable device, which also are known technical specifications or the possible arrival dates of other countries , will have a plastic screen OLED (organic light-emitting diodes), as detailed by the South Korean company for a product presentation.
Sang-jin Park, CEO of Samsung SDI, smartphone components division, said the company is ready to take this new device thanks to curved plastic manufacturing LCD screens that make them “strong enough not to break, even when falling “and do not require protective frames.
The manager explained, however, that the curved screen of the new device will not be flexible , in a time when the main competitor of the South Korean company, the U.S. firm Apple has shown significant advances in flexible materials for potential new products.
The new announcement of Samsung Electronics took place during joint ceremony launching the “phablet” Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Smart Clock Gear, held Wednesday at the headquarters of the firm in the South Korean capital.
