The International Organization for Migration had reported, a boat was capsized close to Malta, it’s feared of 500 deaths, while this is a second biggest boat incident in previous 10 days.


The report came out from two Palestinian survivors of this incident, according to them more than 300 hundred expected dead and humanitarian smugglers had intentionally drowned this boat, in which Children and women were aboard.


The Geneva-based International Organization for Migration (IOM) has stated, there is no confirm cause of this incident emerged yet as ferry was moving towards Malta and according to latest information only nine people are considered to have survived.


The Organization statement belongs to two Palestinian who salvaged with the help of another vessel that come to help and taken them to Sicily.


Christiane Berthiaume, spokesman for IOM described that the smugglers ordered to migrants to change boat in the middle of the Mediterranean and all declined, also decided face them and in the result smugglers capsized the vessel.


Christiane explained, “Some 500 people were on board – Syrians, Palestinians, Egyptians and Sudanese. They were trying to reach Europe. That means that 700 people perished at sea these last days in the Mediterranean, the deadliest incidents in the space of a few days.”
