Kabul: Afghan security operation has killed 78 Taliban fighters including a senior commander, 35 other injured. However, on the other hand, six Afghan officials died in a helicopter crash and 14 people were wounded.


Afghan Home Ministry said in a statement, the security forces had done a operation against militants in some provinces as Ghazni, Laghman, Badakhshan, Kandahar, Zabul, Logar, Kapisa, Paktia, Helmand, Nimroz and in which 52 Taliban have killed, 21 seriously wounded while 2 have taken into custody.


Home Ministry further stated, three armed people were died in district of Shahrak, province Logar, while planting explosives.


The General Mohammad Zahir Azimi, who is the spokesman for Defense Ministry, said that 4 Afghan soldiers killed in case of improvised explosive device blew up material.


The Afghan security forces had done operation in three provinces, killed 21 militants, wounded 14, in Heart—5 Taliban militants died including a senior commander Mullah borjan. An official killed in a military helicopter crash in province Daykundi, 8 were injured badly.
