The officials explained that Britain is thinking to shut its embassy in Libya from August 4 as the clash between the armed groups is growing in Tripoli, the country’s capital.
They said further that the embassy personnel will be moved out to Tunisia. “Reluctantly, we’ve made a decision we have to go away and temporarily suspend embassy operations in Libya,” British Ambassador to Libya Michael Aron said on his Twitter account.
“The risk of getting caught in the crossfire is too great.” Previous, the United States, the United Nations and various European diplomatic missions were forced to leave the civil war-wracked country.
