Foreign Tourist Boat Sinks in Eastern Indonesia, 15 Missed

Jakarta: 15 foreign tourists have been confirmed missing after a boat sank in eastern Indonesia (country) during a trip between islands.


According to rescue official, the boat sank on Saturday about 7 pm local time. 10 people were saved and there were 20 passengers and 5 crewmembers on board.


The cause of the sinking was not immediately clear, but the weather conditions were poor at the time.

The head of the tour company operating the boat Tajudin Sam said that, the likely cause of the sinking is stormy weather.
