Baghdad: at least 1600 people were killed in acts of violence in Iraq.
According to the released Government figures, these people were killed in last month and most of them are civilians.
According to the Interior and Defense ministries, 1,401 civilians, 185 soldiers and 83 policemen were killed in the previous month.
