According to the Lonely Planet (largest travel guide book publisher in the world), luxurious sandcastle (Mihir Garh) built in the Indian desert has been named the most extraordinary place to stay on the planet.
According to the editor of the Lonely Planet (largest travel guide book publisher in the world), the mirage-like oasis takes the top mark as the most outstanding and brilliant hotel experience in the world, outranking a mount cottage in Tasmania, a sphere-shaped suite in the rainforests of British Columbia, and a tree house in Laos. Spanning 1,700 square feet (160 sq m), the Mihir Garh features nine suites, private terraces, courtyards, plunge pools and a Jacuzzi.
According to the Contributor James Kay, Few hotels are created without compromise. Mihir Garh is a rare example. This is not just a unique place to stay. It’s a shrine to the artistic and architectural traditions of Rajasthan in general and Jodhpur in particular.
