Egyptian documentary film “The Square” won American director’s guild award, this is first Egypt film who won.
“Square” story revolves around Egyptian Revolutionary movement which started in year 2011; this movement had changed Egyptian Political and administrative Scenario. On the other hand this film got great success in cinemas everyone who watch this film confessed that that is awesome documentary film.
‘The Act of Killing’, ‘Stories V tail’, ‘Crash Rail’, ‘The Square’ these films were nominated for this category but Egyptian Revolutionary movement based film won award.
Karim Amer is the producer of this film and female director Jehane Noujaim who proved that she is the one of the best director in this world won Best directors guild award and showed difficult life part of Egyptian people.
