An Italian petitions court has released former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in a sex-for-hire case.
The court ruling also canceled his seven-year-prison sentence and a lifetime ban on holding political office, which were handed down by a lower court after his conviction last year.
The former Prime Minister had been charged of paying for sex with an underage prostitute and using his political power to cover it up.
