There were 1,235 more cases of HIV diagnosed in Australia in 2013, the biggest number in 20 years, an annual report by the University of New South Wales’ Kirby Institute mentioned.

The rates have been stable for the past few years, but are 70 percent higher than they were back in 1999, when new diagnoses were at their lowest.

The outbreak of the harmful disease is cause of rise in undefended sex, especially among gay men, rather than better testing, proof proposed.
