Japan will decrease some sanctions on North Korea in homecoming for its reopening of a investigation into the fate of Japanese citizens kidnapped decades ago.
A move came after a fresh report emerged that some of those abducted are alive. Japan will raise travel curbs to and from North Korea.
Sanctions will be finished on the amount of money that can be sent or brought to the North without notifying Japanese authorities.
Tokyo will also let the permission port calls by North Korean ships for humanitarian motives. North Korea had reportedly handed Japan the names of almost 10 of their nationals said to be living in that country.
Some of them are considered to have been kidnapped.
