Bauchi: An eye witness told that Nigerian Islamist militants stormed gunfire at worshippers and burnt down four churches on Sunday in a village near the town where almost 200 schoolgirls were abducted.


A member of a vigilante group mentioned that over 30 bodies were found but more were still being recovered in the bushes, where people from Kwada village had been hiding, has had some successes in keeping away attacks.


A survivor Mallam Yahi told by telephone call from Chibok town to news reporters, “They killed dozens of people and burned houses after attacking worshippers.”


Mallam further told that the church buildings have been devastated included the Protestant Church of Christ, the Pentecostal Deeper Life Bible Church and Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa, which is Hausa for Church of the Brethren in Nigeria.


Before that it was begun by American missionaries from Illinois in the 1920s.


The police spokesman, Gideon Jubrin, explained that he couldn’t confirm the attack cause of bad communications had kept officials from reaching the nearest security post at Chibok, while Associated Press reporters were able to make phone calls to the town.
