Many residents have run away from northern Gaza after Israel threatened residents to leave the area to keep away from airstrikes.
According to international news reports, almost 167 people, particularly civilians, have already died as a result of Operation Protective Edge, which turned sixth day on Sunday.
Israel went down booklets in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Lahiya, situated close to the border with Israel, requesting civilians to go away the region by midday Sunday and warning of airstrikes on Hamas sites.
The civilians of the town has a population of 70,000, were told via the booklets and telephone calls that “those who fail to comply with the instructions to leave immediately will endanger their lives and the lives of their families.”
Gaza’s Health Ministry said in statement that almost 167 Palestinians, the majority of them civilians, including nearly 30 children, have died as a result of airstrikes since Israel’s ‘Operation Protective Edge’ started on Tuesday. Over 1,100 others have been wounded.
