Launch of a Russian Proton rocket


 


Russia has made in the night of Monday to Tuesday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the launch of a Proton-M, which has put a military satellite into orbit, announced the Russian space agency Roskosmos and the Ministry of Defense.

The rocket was launched at 3:46 Moscow time (11:46 p.m. GMT), according to Roscosmos.


“The orbiting of the spacecraft must take total approximately nine hours, “said a spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Dmitri Zenine, quoted by the Interfax agency.


The latest launch of Proton, with on board an American satellite took place in late October.
