The thirty-two eligible countries are now known for the World Cup in Brazil. The Uruguay has approved the latest ticket to Rio. Teammates Edinson Cavani did draw on Wednesday 20 November in Montevideo, 0-0, against the Jordan . Match to go , Celeste was widely imposed, 5-0, in Amman.


Doubles winners of the World Cup in 1930, when the first edition fought on its soil, and in 1950, the Uruguayans had reached the semifinals in 2010, playing their first game against the team of France, 0-0. Surprise team last four after having eliminated Ghana on penalties, it had lost its last two games by the same score (3-2) face the Netherlands and against the Germany in the match for third instead.




A note that all the world champions will be in Brazil this summer: Uruguay (1930, 1950), Italy (1934, 1938, 1982, 2006), Germany (1954, 1974, 1990), Brazil (1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 , 2002), England (1966), Argentina (1978, 1986), France (1998) and Spain (2010).
