Washington, D.C: at least, 2,202 members of the United States military have died in Afghanistan as of August 26, as a result of the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in late 2001.
According to the military’s numbers, more than 1,822 United States-military service members have died in Afghanistan (country) as a result of unfriendly action and at least 134 members of United States military died in supports of Operation Enduring Freedom outside of Afghanistan.
Defense Department said that, since the start of United States-military operations in Afghanistan, 19,952 United State-military service members have been wounded in aggressive actions.
