Bangkok: Thailand’s coup leader (General Prayuth Chan-ocha) was elected prime minister on Thursday (21 Aug, 2014) by the kingdom’s junta-appointed legislature without a single opposing vote.
According to news, General Prayuth Chan-ocha (60-year-old) is set to retire from the army ranks in next month.
Sunai Phasuk (senior researcher at New York-based Human Right Watch) said that, the general clearly do not plan to restore democracy.
