Washington: German Chancellor Angela Merkel and United States president Barack Obama have warned Russia as they are increasing military presence and bombardment in Ukraine conflict.


White House stated referring Obama and Merkel “agreed that Russia sending a convoy into Ukraine without Ukraine’s approval is a further provocation and a violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”


Merkel warned Russia, “We cannot rule out thinking about further sanctions if things do not progress.”


The Angela Merkel also emphasized on a new truce in crisis negotiations with Russian President Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Saturday, while a contentious Russian convoy turned back.


They added, “They expressed concern that the large numbers of Russian troops on the border of Ukraine, the presence of Russian military personnel in Ukraine and Russian shelling of Ukrainian territory represent a dangerous escalation.”


Markel will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and different cities mayors in her one day trip, as more than 2200 people have been killed in ongoing clash between military in the eastern region of Kiev and pro-Russian separatists after the April month.
