Anurag Basu’s super hit Indian romantic comedy-drama movie Barfi, who won received great critical acclaim as it has tremendous mute acts these never seen before.
The film was released in South Korea, Turkey, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong’s big screens and inspired everyone, now the makers all set to release this hit project in theaters on Japan Friday.
The UTV Motion Pictures’ entertainer has stated that it would be the first film of Ranbir Kapoor starrer who is a grandson of legend filmmaker and actor Raj Kapoor, to show on in Japan.
Vice president and head- Studio, Amrita Pandey, Disney India, explained in a speech, “We were looking forward to the release of ‘Barfi!’ here (in Japan), especially after the movie garnered accolades at the Grand Jury Award at the prestigious Okinawa Film Festival in Japan.”
Amrita further said, “It’s always a great feeling when our movies get appreciated even in non-traditional markets. We have in fact worked closely with the distributors to put together a trailer and art work specially to address the Japanese sensibilities and emotions.”
The film will be seen on 10 theaters in Japan’s six cities as Yokohama, Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Fukuoka.
