Sukhumi: Abkhazia (country) is holding an early presidential election and 4 candidates are battling for office.
According to news report, 4 candidates including Aslan Bzhania (State Security Service’s General), Leonid Dzapshba (former Interior Minister), Mirab Kishmaria (incumbent Defense Minister) and Raul Khadzhimba (opposition MP) are battling for office.
Remember that, Abkhazia is the former Georgia republic in the south Caucasus and their previous president (Aleksandr Ankvab) resigned on June 1 on the opposition’s demand.
