California: More than 2,500 people were trapped in southern California after thunderstorms caused mountain mudslides, while 1 person was found dead.

Chris Prater (San Bernardino County Fire spokesman) said that, a body was found Sunday in a car that was swept into the rain-swollen water course in Mount Baldy and overturned.

Chris Prater can’t provide more other details. Authorities said that, about 1,500 residents of Oak Glen (census-designated place) and another 1,000 residents of Forest Falls in the San Bernardino Mountains (Mountain range in California) were powerless to get out because the roads were enclosed with garbage, rock and mud.

According to the Josh Wilkins (Fire Capt.), “Every rescue unit we have, every fire engine we have in San Bernardino County. We are accurately approaching the maximum right now in terms of our call volume”.

The National weather said, “The downpour dumped as much as 3 ½ inches of rain on Forest Falls, and nearly 5 inches of rain on Mount Baldy”
