In warmed speech on television, Prime Minister Nuri-al-Maliki have come out in the capital Baghdad as he declined to drop his bid for a third term in the middle of a jihadist insurgency in the north.
In a televised address caretaker premier Maliki criticized Iraq’s president for not asking him to form a government in spite of his alliance winning most seats in April’s parliamentary elections.
He said, “Today, I will file a legal complaint to the Federal Court against the president of the republic for committing a clear constitutional violation for the sake of political goals and preferring narrow interests over the interests of the Iraqi people.”
