American beautiful, model and actress Katie Holmes has signed for the role of Piper Chapman in ‘Orange Is the New Black’.
The Netflix show’s inventor Jenji Kohan disclosed that she was a fan of Holmes and thought about the former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ star for the lead.
Jenji said, “You know, I met with her. She had other things to do. And also in the beginning, no-one knew what this was.”
Taylor Schilling, who appears as detainee Piper, explained, “I’m a big fan of Katie Holmes. She could be friends with Lorna or like Lorna’s Boston sister.”
The 35-year-old hot actress has earlier said that the Emmy-nominated show is one of her favorite series.
