An Egyptian court has disbanded the Freedom and Justice Party, the political wing of the disallowed Muslim Brotherhood, international sources reported.
The ruling appears almost a year after a court disallowed the Muslim Brotherhood itself last September.
Back then the ruling didn’t talk about the Brotherhood’s political wing, it showing that it could be permitted to run in parliamentary elections.
Saturday’s ruling effectively disallows the Brotherhood from formal participation in electoral politics.
