The United States Secretary of State John Kerry censured on Tuesday a photograph of a Sydney-raised seven-year-old boy seizing the cut off head of a Syrian soldier.

John Kerry explained the photograph as “one of the most disturbing, stomach-turning, grotesque photographs ever displayed.”

The picture was taken in the northern Syrian city of Raqqa and posted on Twitter by the boy’s found guilty terrorist father, Khaled Sharrouf, an Islamic State fighter, the Australian tabloid reported.
