Two soldiers were killed after a suicide bomber drove his explosives-laden car into the entrance of army base in the central Yemeni city of Seiyun on Thursday.


The security officials said Soldiers also fought with suspected Al-Qaeda militants at the city’s close to airport.


Yemen’s military previously launched an offensive against Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), pushing it out of many positions in the south.


Washington and Gulf countries are upset that further destabilizing in Yemen could let the permission Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), the group’s local wing, to merge its position and launch attacks overseas.
