Bangui: 50 people killed, including children and women, several were injured in Anti-Muslim Riots in Central African Republic.


According to international reports, after the Christian ‘Anti Blakka’ Militia’s militants attack, the tension has been increased.

The officer from the African Union force MISCA sain in a statement, “Nearly 50 people have been killed since Monday during violence in the Bambari region and nearby villages,”.


“Most of the victims were shot or stabbed to death.”


The severely poor Central African Republic has spotted over a year of turbulence, with violence between mostly-Muslim ex-Seleka insurgents and mostly Christian militias leaving thousands dead and about a quarter of the population migrated.


The officer said, who explained on condition of anonymity, “Apart from attacks aimed at civilians and the burning down of houses, there are also clashes that appear to be coordinated attacks by armed groups,”.
