International observer said on Sunday that jihadist group in Syria has publicly executed and crucified their 8 insurgents combating both President Bashar al-Assad’s government and the jihadists.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that report appears during severe fights on the suburbs of Damascus between the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, which is spearheading a major offensive in Iraq and insurgents.

“ISIL executed eight men in Deir Hafer in the east of Aleppo province” on Saturday because they linked to insurgent groups, had fought against the jihadists as well as Assad’s forces.

The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant then, the Britain-based observatory said, “crucified them in the main square of the village, where their bodies will remain for three days.”

Besides in province Aleppo, ninth man was crucified for eight hours as a way of punishment in Al-Bab town near the border with Turkey.

ISIL first came out in Syria’s combat in late spring last year and was initially welcomed by some Syrian insurgents who believed fight experience would help topple Assad.
