The Iran’s Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri declares that Tehran will take action as it has in Syria to stop insurgents from taking over.

International sources told that Iran is ready to help Iraq combat an armed rebellion using the same procedures it posted against opposition forces in Syria, an Iranian general said, suggesting Tehran is proposing to play a larger role in fighting Sunni militias warning Baghdad.

Iran leaders to date have said they would help protect Shi’ite Muslim holy places in neighboring Iraq if needed, other than have also told Iraqi have the ability of doing that task themselves.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamanei said on 22 June, 2014 that he declined interference in Iraq by Washington or further outside power against Sunni insurgents from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militia.

The Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri, deputy joint chief of staff of the armed forces and a senior Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) officer, said Iranian al Alam TV that Iran’s response to the militias would be ‘certain and serious’.

The General also mentioned late on Saturday didn’t give details on the assistance Iran could provide Baghdad, further than saying Iran could help with what he called famous defense and intelligence.

The Brigadier explained in addressing on television,”Iran has told Iraqi officials it is ready to provide them with our successful experiments in popular all-around defense, the same winning strategy used in Syria to put the terrorists on the defensive … This same strategy is now taking shape in Iraq – mobilizing masses of all ethnic groups.”
