The military said that 12 places in Gaza struck, including “concealed” rocket launchers and weapons manufacturing sites.

The Israel army has carried out air-raids in the Gaza Strip after rockets were launched towards Israel, the military told and Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman endorsed reoccupying the Hamas-ruled territory to prevent the rocket fire.

The military claimed that they victimized 12 sites in Gaza on Sunday, including “concealed” rocket launchers, weapons manufacturing sites and what it called “terror activity” sites.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israel government is ready ‘to broaden’ the operation if needed. The military told that the air-raids were in reprisal for six rockets from Gaza that attacked Israel the earlier evening.

Two of those rockets struck a factory in the town of Sderot, setting it aflame, the Associated Press news agency reported.

Mr. Avigdor Lieberman, Israeli Foreign Minister, though, said limited security forces operations against militant groups in Gaza only made stronger Hamas.

The Lieberman said on military Radio, “The alternative is clear. Either with each round we attack terror infrastructure and they shoot, or we go to full occupation.”
