According to latest news reports, over 40 people have been killed and more than 10 wounded after a TransAsia Airways passenger plane crashed while attempting to make an emergency landing in typhoon-hit Taiwan.


The Thai media reported on Wednesday— TransAsia Airways flight GE222 was carrying 58 people when it collided into houses close to Magong airport on the Penghu island chain after requesting a second try to land there.


The airport officials explained the who story like this, the ATR 72-500 twin turboprops was taking off from the southwestern city of Kaohsiung to the islands off the west coast and had been held up cause of worse weather as Typhoon Matmo pummeled Taiwan.


Tsai, an official at the Penghu county fire department told had reported international media reporters early on Thursday, “We have found 42 bodies and some body parts so far.”


The photos which were seen on television and news websites, firefighters doing work in heavy rain attempt to extinguish the mangled plane and troops on the scene.


Transport Minister Yeh Kuang-shih addressed media reporters, “There were 58 people on board including four crew members, four children and, so far, according to the information we have, 12 were injured and were sent to hospitals.”
