California: A young man died after a hole which dug by him on a Northern California beach fell down and trapped him in the sand for almost five minutes, the officials stated on Tuesday.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Capt. Jonathan Cox described that man excavated a approximately 10-foot-deep hole at Francis State Beach and was standing in it nearly 5:30 p.m. Monday when the sand began falling in around him.
Capt. Jonathan said further that around 30 people including the man’s friends and the spectators, crazily excavated with their hands, buckets and other extemporized tools to unveil his head. They were capable to free his head in about five minutes, just as firefighters reached at the scene.
He told, “When they got there, they discovered he was unconscious.”
Jonathan mentioned paramedics handled to open his airways while nearly 30 firefighters, helped by the spectators, used shovels and other equipment to get out his body. The rescue team members got out him in almost 35 minutes and tried to breathe back him but he died at the scene.
Dead man at the California seashore nearly 30 miles southwest of downtown San Francisco was recognized by the 26-year-old San Mateo County Coroner’s office as Adam Pye of San Lorenzo.
