A suicide car bomb blast exploded through a police checkpoint in Baghdad Tuesday, which killed 23 people and injuring over 40, the police and medical sources told.
The bomb blew up at a police checkpoint in the Kadhimiya district, a mainly Shiite area in the north of the city. Not any terrorist group took the responsibility of the suicide attack.
The suicide bomber went off an explosives-laden vehicle at doorway to the northwestern neighborhood of Kadhimiyah, a police colonel and an interior ministry official described.
