Typhoon Matmo attacked Taiwan on Wednesday, killing one person and destructing buildings. Heavy rains and strong winds interrupted and blackout financial markets and schools.


The typhoon approached a category two on the Tropical Storm Risk scale, with winds approaching a speed of 155 kph (90 mph), the Central Weather Bureau has disclosed.


One person killed in northern Taiwan after falling into a pool, and a tourist is reportedly lost after taking photographs on the coast. The Typhoon is forecasted all set to journey towards China later on Wednesday.
