Lahore: Case has been registered against Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri (chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehrik) on murder of Punjab police constable Mohammad Ashraf on Saturday.
News reported that, case has been registered at Nasirabad police station. Murder, attempted murder, destruction of public property provision is also included in the case.
Constable Mohammad Ashraf was walking near Model Town on Friday night, at the same time workers of Awami Tehrik attacked them.
Injured constable Mohammad Ashraf was taken to the General Hospital where he died. 1 Elite policeman was killed and more than 100 policemen were injured during the clashes between police and workers of Awami Tehrik.
According to statement issued by inspector General of Punjab Police (Spokesman), in last 24 hours, the workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek were attacked on police and in result of attacks, Punjab police constable Mohammad Ashraf was killed and more than 130 policemen were wounded.
