Female activists of inflammatory right group Femen are facing separate trials in Germany and France for performing their topless performances in churches.
The trial of nine Femen activists over the February 2013 action in Notre-Dame making the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI began on Wednesday.
A apart trial of one of those activists over an anti-Christmas performance at Paris’ La Madeleine church is to begin on Friday.
