The Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said on Friday, that the Kurdish bloc is suspending all participation in the national government in reaction to the country’s Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki’s allegations.

It came as Iraq’s Kurdish minority announced on Thursday that their politicians would boycott cabinet meetings a few days ahead of a scheduled parliamentary session to form a new government.

The Kurdish relationship with Al Maliki has long been complicated by a range of problems, oil rights and land controversies among them.

Minister Hoshiyar Zebari, who is a Kurd, he said, “We have suspended our government business.”
