US spying Allegations are Serious, Merkel

US-spying-Allegations-are-Serious-Merkel

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel said accusations of a German working as a double agent for the US intelligence are “serious” and if proven correct declined the spirit of two-sided cooperation, international reports.

The German government demanded clarification from Washington over the US’ apparent contact with a German man detained last week, the interior minister said.

Washington has yet to comment on the detain of a 31-year-old worker of Germany’s BND foreign intelligence agency.
