A powerful storm and likely tornado in New York on Tuesday has reportedly destroyed many houses in the central part of the state, killing almost four people.
According to international news reports, the intense storm caused the fall down of many structures in Smithfield, situated in New York’s Madison County, resulting in ‘immense’ damage and forcing local authorities to send off a number of ambulances.
The Smithfield Fire Department confirmed to the Times that four people died as a result of the weather-inflicted devastation.
